About Jofia

Yoga Vortex guides you to rise and thrive in your mind, body, and spirit.

Born and raised in Washington State, where being in touch with nature is a way of life, she attended Riverside Community College for Dance. This is where she was first introduced to Yoga and Pilates after a severe car accident. Yoga and Pilates helped her overcome her injuries and grow stronger in Ballet, Pointe, West African, and Modern Dance.

Jofia moved to New York in 2005 after volunteering overseas with Fijian, Indian, and Australian cultures. She planned to continue her dance career. Six months after arriving in New York, Jofia was struck by a truck while crossing the street.

Jofia again dove into her spiritual quest through yoga and Pilates, allowing it to transform her mind and body. The opportunity for her 200-hour yoga teacher training came in the summer of 2008 at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. She has since trained in Stott Pilates Mat, Advance Mat, and Reformer. Jofia has been trained in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. She has recently started her journey to become a Reiki master. She has over two decades of teaching experience. Now, she is a holistic practitioner, having finished her bachelor's in plant medicine and trauma-centered practices.

Joining Jofia's classes is not just about a physical challenge but also about experiencing a divine sense of joy, alignment, awareness of the subtle body, and personal inquiry. These classes are designed to help you reveal your true nature, motivating you to rise and thrive in all aspects of your life.

The VORTEX

The vortex spiral is the primordial blueprint for all color, sound, form, and function. It represents a single point of supreme consciousness that expands outward, decaying and breaking down into many parts, into the center, where the many parts become one and whole again. The spiral is represented as a scale of ascending and descending, which is the pattern of all realities, from musical scales to geometry, mathematics, fractal patterning, and consciousness. From the river to electricity, all currents flow in spirals. The shape of the spiral, having the capacity to process infinite expansion and contraction, holds within it the secrets of accessing unlimited free energy and an unlimited free consciousness that can move up and down the “Jacobs Ladder” of the universe at will.
